Experience:

Extensive experience in developing and/or overseeing the execution of vast portfolios of financing and technical cooperations at major multilateral institutions (over USD 1 billion in total). These portfolios were comprised by initiatives in over 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, all aimed at addressing either private sector development, access to mortgage financing, public infrastructure, and business environment enhancement.

As Senior Specialist at the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington DC, he supervised the implementation technical cooperation projects aimed at enabling business environments for private sector development, particularly by increasing access to mortgage finance by deepening the Mexican mortgage market, and by directing remittances from Mexicans living in the USA to the Mexican mortgage market.

As Country Manager at the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI), he planned and directed the public infrastructure portfolio of the Bank in Guatemala. As Head of the Private Sector Division at the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) in Barbados, he drafted CDB’s Private Sector Strategy, while managing its private sector lending portfolio. At the World Bank in Washington DC, he conducted research on the investing environment of Peru, Ecuador, and Chile.
